Authentic Cowboy Artist Stanley M. Long Watercolor "Bucking Bronco

Our "Bucking Bronco" is by the authentic cowboy artist, Stanley M. Long. The image measures 8.5" X 9", framed 14"X14". The watercolor has not been removed from the frame in which it was purchased. There is some mat burn evident. The colors in the watercolor remain bright The item was purchased from Dan May & Associares, Scottsdale, Arizona in 1989.

Stanley M. Long (1892-1972) was born in Oakland, California. He grew up on a ranch in Napa, California breaking wild horses. At the age of 15 he enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute where he was awarded a scholarship to Paris' Academie Julian. He served in the camouflage corps in both world waes and taught for 17 years at Polytechnic High School. He died in 1972 in San Carlosm California.
