About British Army Service No. 1 Kukri:
Among all the Khukuris or Kukris, Service No. 1 is the most famous all over the world as it is issued to the Gurkhas when they enlist and carry throughout their military career. This is Official Issue. This Kukri very important and most popular among the Gurkhas and they keep it as their valuable procession all of their life. This is also called Standard Issued in Gurkha Units as they have few other military kukris issued in special occasion or during training. The blade is made of Highly Graded Carbon with balanced temper on the edge of the blade therefore its very strong. Besides carrying the knife in war time, this blade can be used to chop wood or bone cleaning bushes. This is also called Standard Issued in Gurkha Units as they have few other military kukris issued in special occasion or during training.

Kukri is Made?
All the Kukri are hand forge in GK&CO. Kukri factory in small town called Dharan which is located in eastern part of Nepal. Dharan is very famous and important place for Gurkha recruiting. It is also known as Gurkha town as most of towns' residents are Ex-Gurkha soldiers. GK&CO. KUKRI has its own factory in Dharan where all the kukris are hand made by blacksmiths.

Material Used: High Grade Carbon Steel, Water Buffalo Leather for Scabbard (outside) and buffalo horn for the Handle, Cottonwood for the Scabbard (inside) and "Laha" special type of Nepali Traditional Glue.
Karda & Chakmak: These are small knives come with Kukri. Karda is small knife used of skinning animal hairs and Chakmak is used of sharpening the Kukri blade in its blunt. When you bid or buy this item you will also get these two unique knives.
