AUTHENTIC WALT DISNEY PRODUCTION MOVIE CEL 1968 TIGGER & PIGLET IN "WINNIE THE POOH and THE BLUSTERY DAY" In 1968 Walt Disney first debuted Tigger and Piglet in the feature "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day" . This original movie production cel is framed in it's original frame, measuring 21" X 17". The actual matted CEL is 11" x 15", Multi charactor cel's are much more rare. This cel bears the official Disney certificate saying 'This is an original painting actually used in Walt Disney Productions. Never to be reproduced very rare. T were no two alike. Cel , short for celluloid is a transparent sheet on which characters are drawn or painted on. The invention of the technique generally attributed to Earl Hurd who patented the process in 1914. With the advent of computer assisted animation production, CEL use was abandoned by Disney in 1990 Some cels are not used for actual production work, but may be a "special" edition version of the artwork, More often they are printed (lithographed) from a hand-painted production cel. These do not fetch as high a price as original "under-the-camera" movie production cels, which are true collector items. I purchased this one as frame in 1975 in LA from Disney productions Shipping to US/CAN calculated plus 3.00 handling. Other oversea's shipping calulated plus 6.00 handling.
