Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester Porcelain Cobalt & Gilt Teapot c.1810
Here is a nice example of an early nineteenth century Barr, Flight & Barr period Worcester porcelain teapot & cover which is of lobed form with wrythen fluted moulding. It stands 7.125 inches high and measures 9.25 inches in length and is finely decorated with gilded thistles together with cobalt banding which is enriched with gilded foliage. Both the base and the inside of the cover carry an impressed factory mark (B.F.B. headed by a crown).
For complete accuracy there is a tiny nick to the underside edge of the cover but it is in overall superb condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration and the gilding is bright with hardly any wear.
A good example of early English porcelain!
