Battle Of Britain Junkers Ju88 relic Wnr 5097

Engine gearing relic recovered from the crash site of Junkers Ju88A-1 Wnr 5097 of 8/KG77.
This aircraft was shot down on the 18th September 1940 as it came in low across Harty, Kent. After repeated attacks by RAF fighters it turned upside down, whereupon a crewman fell out, before it then crashed into a hedge at Mocketts Farm, just behind the Ferry House Inn, the remaining crew were KIA.
This relic weighs 1.5 kg and is approx 13" long.
