This is a beautiful handmade pitcher, circa late 1800s to very early 1900s, in which the craftsman alternated separate copper and brass pieces, and then delicately soldered the pieces together. It is nicely hammered, and also dovetailed down by the handle and around the bottom. It is in great shape, with no dents or dings. The three feet are made of copper. Imprinted on the bottom is the Russian double eagle emblem and Russian writing. It is large, being 7" diameter at the bottom; 4 1/4" diameter at top, excluding handle; 8 1/2" high; and it weighs 2 1/2 pounds. This piece took great workmanship and lots of time to make.
