First Edition. Basis for the classic 1932 James Whale film, "The Old Dark House," starring Boris Karloff, Melvyn Douglas and a young Charles Laughton. A superior copy of this title, exceptionally fresh. Near Fine in a bright, just about Near Fine example of the rare dust jacket. Some offsetting at the endpapers, else book is Fine; jacket has a shallow crease at the bottom of the rear panel, with some light foxing to the rear panel and verso.
