Binions Horseshoe $10 Silver Strike Paper Weight A Piece of History! Benny Binions Horseshoe Hotel and Casino opened in 1951 and operated for over 50 years. The "Horseshoe" became known as the only real place to gamble in Las Vegas. Benny Binion, (1904-1989) started the trend of allowing higher limits for gamblers. Featured on this Silver Strike, Benny created a legend as a pioneer and instrumental in establishing the Las Vegas National Finals Rodeo and the World Series of Poker, and until recently closed, the Horseshoe remained the only privately owned casino in Las Vegas. This Silver Strike insert is .999 Pure Silver mounted inside a Brass Ring. Encapsulated in a plastic, air-tight container to ensure continued quality of the Silver Strike, it is attached to nine Horseshoe un-cancelled dice. The dice are vintage early 80's and are as they were when replaced from the Horseshoe gaming tables. The Silver Strike can be removed from the capsule without damage. Designed as a very unique paper weight, the strike and dice make a very appealing display collectible and a great addition to any memorabilia.
