Richard Bowdler Sharpe (1847 - 1909) was an English Zoologist. He commenced the "Monograph of the Kingfishers" , his first ornithological work, in 1864. He joined the British Museum as a Senior Assistant in the Department of Zoology, and became Assistant Keeper in 1895.
