This auction is for one copy of the axe book, Axe Makers of North America. The author is Allan Klenman. This is a new book fresh from the printer. It has 160 pages and list all of the more well known axe makers from North America. This book first came out in print in 1990 but soon was all sold out so I asked the author if he would do a second reprint. Mr. Klenman said I, Larry McPhail, could edit and publish the second edition. He offered another 50 pages to be added to the book. This represents another 15 years of research into the history of the many people and companies that made axes in North America from about 1700 up to the present. This book also has some additional information on the Sager axe, the undercutter/chainsaw axe, the Puget Sound falling axe and it's history.
