Selling my Boosey & Hawkes Sovereign globe stamp soprano (Eb) cornet in silver plate. This is the 925 model and I believe they were made between 1974 and 1984. A nice piece of British brass banding history.I've had this sop about 6 months and been really happy with it. I am only parting with it because my husband kindly said I could have a second hand Schilke.The instrument has been well looked after in its life. There are no dents and just a few small marks on the silver as you would expect. All valves, slides and corks are in good order.It did not come with a case when I bought it and I've been using one belonging to my band, so unfortunately I cannot supply a case. It will be securely packed for posting.Anybody interested is welcome to come and view or play before purchase. Cash on collection is acceptable. If you wish to see full size photos please message me via ebay with an email address.Postage via Royal Mail Next Day with insurance against loss or damage in the post is coming out at £24.50. This is the cost quoted on Royal Mail's site for a 4kg parcel. I am not adding anything on for packing materials. If you wish me to post via Standard Parcels this will be £8.80, but this only covers upto £46 insurance . I would then not accept further liability should the cornet be lost or damaged in the post.
