One Bound Volume THE LITERARY DIGEST ~ July - September 1915 ~ 13 Issues You are bidding on one bound volume containing the July 3 thru September 25 issues of The Literary Digest magazine from 1915 (Volume 51, Numbers 1 - 13). The volume measures about 9½" by 12½". It was bound by the Library using a 3 hole punch system and bound with a flat cord; the spine is of green binding tape and the front and back boards are a hard cardboard. All have library marks. Any noted defect will be mentioned in the description below, i.e. if I see it I will mention it. The individual issues have been bound with their front and back covers. Any exceptions will be noted. If a certain page or article is important to you please ask about its condition. From Wikipedia: The Literary Digest was an influential general-interest weekly magazine in the early 20th century United States, published by Funk and Wagnalls. The first issue was in 1890. The Digest is almost certainly best-remembered today for the circumstances surrounding its demise. It conducted a "straw poll" regarding the likely outcome of the 1936 presidential election. The poll showed that the Republican governor of Kansas, Alf Landon, would likely be the overwhelming winner.
