Up for auction is a very nice issue of Boys' Life Magazine, from October, 1953 ! Some of the contents Include: Special Article: How I Learned To Fly by ORVILLE WRIGHT December 17, 1953 marked the Golden Jubilee of Fight. To celebrate this event Boys’ Life reprinted this article which first appeared in Boys’ Life in 1914! “Fifty years ago man first left earth under power. Here is the original story as told to Leslie Quirk”. There is also a reprint of “the only actual photo of the first take-off!” Artist William Heaslip portrayed the historic event in his cover illustration in which he lokks forward while looking backward, hence the outlandish spaceship that is taking off behind the Wright Brother’s Kitty Hawk!
