Up for bid is an HO Division Point DP-5205 Southern Pacific Krauss Maffei. Ajin (who builds all of Overland Models diesels) built these for Division Point so they have the same smooth running tower drive, individual gearboxes on each wheelset and quality construction you find on Overland's diesels. Additional features are sprung trucks, directional lighting, lit number boards, see through everything and a gorgeous cab interior. I don't have a layout but this engine has been run back and forth on my little three foot test track about half a dozen times, it runs smooth and quiet. This is the SP version of the Krauss Maffei and Division Point chose to model it with a pilot plow which matches the 1965 to retirement era for this engine. When first delivered, the SP quickly discovered issues with the air intakes being located so high up on the carbody, so after some experimentation they came up with a series of louvers on the lower carbody panels to draw cooler air in, resulting in the need to relocate the air tanks to the top of the roof. Unlike the Rio Grande units, which underwent a similar modification, the SP placed its tanks towards the rear of the locomotive (much more balanced in my opinion!)
