ABOUT THIS ISSUE: Brenda Starr is one of the most noteworthy female characters in the history of comics. It was created by Dale Messick in 1940 for the Chicago Tribune Syndicate. Brenda Starr is often called "Brenda Starr, Reporter" and she's a great crime-fighter. (Cultural note: There was once a Brenda Starr movie starring Brooke Shields!). Here is a Wikipedia link about Brenda Starr. (Some issues of Brenda Starr are extremely valuable, such as Brenda Starr #14)

This issue is of note because it is the last issue in the run. The Overstreet guide lists it as "scarce." Stories have aspects of crime, adventure, and romance. The cover artwork has a strong Jack Kamen style to it. SEE PHOTOS FOR SAMPLES.
