British Gold Sovereign 1966 Elizabeth II Sovereign! This is a nicely collectible London mint produced BritishGold Sovereign. It has the image of St George slaying the dragon on the front, with the profile of Queen Elizabeth II on the reverse. An interesting thing about the British Sovereign coin is that the royal portrait on the reverse alternates directions. The gold content is 113 grains (7.32 g), equivalent to 0.2354 Troy ounces.
