Estate sale find!!! From the estate of the late William Parker Kennedy, long time president of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen (BRT), which was merged into the new United Transportation Union in 1968. This Cheyenne Indian headdress lot is from the ceremony at the Oklahoma State Meeting of the BRT in El Reno, Okla. on Nov. 21, 1958 in which Pres. W. P. Kennedy was made an honorary Cheyenne Indian chief, "Chief Iron Horse", by Chief Mad Bull of the Cheyenne Tribe. I am currently offering a photo of this event in a separate listing. This headdress, made by Cheyenne craftsmen, is constructed of painted turkey feathers & real Cheyenne beadwork mounted on the crown of a cloth hat. Very Good condition. See my other listings for related items from this event. No reserve. No buy it now.
