BUDWEISER ANHEUSER BUSCH EUROPEAN CASTLE SERIES BLARNEY

ANHEUSER BUSCH BLARNEY CASTLE STEIN #30 of 5,000
2ND IN SERIES
This stein is in mint condition with box and Coa.The box is in great shape. This is #30 of 5,000.It is a nice heavy stein. It is 8 5/8" tall, 21" around at the bottom and 16 1/2" around the lid.
In fine, hand painted porcelain, this second edition stein dramatically recreates the Blarney Castle. This famous 15th century castle is home to one of Ireland's most celebrated tourist attractions...The legendary Blarney Stone.Built in 1446 by Dermot McCarthy,King of Munster, the imposing stone castle is a fortress inside and out.Narrow windows allowed the castle's inhibitants to shoot arrows at attackers, while reducing their chances of being hit.Battlements line the top of the castle, part of which now is in ruin. The castle's position near the edge of a cliff also discouraged attackers.
The Blarney Castle Stein beautifully captures each of these details in hand-painted porcelain. The stein's handle is rendered in the shape of a castle tower, and the decorative pewter thumbrest adds a touch of Old World charm. The name of the castle, its home country and the year of constuction are imbossed in pewter beneath the lid.
This stein was made in 2002 for Anheuser Busch by PKT of Germany.
