R.C. Gorman Designs of The Southwest Crystal Art Tile

This art tile was made by a Navajo named R.C. Gorman in 1968 in Taos, New Mexico...there is a card attached on the back that gives all the information about Gorman and is original to the piece. It is signed on the front by R.C. Gorman and is numbered 22/50. I would call this piece rare....very rare. Gorman was born on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. He traveled widely, studied and worked in San Francisco and moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1968. This is called a Crystal Tile. It is a perfect wall piece or can be sat on a table or desk. It is 8 1/4 in. long and 6 1/4 in. wide. The tile is placed on a cork board ...so it is 1/2 in. wide. There is a slot in the cork board to hang it up on the wall. I am no expert on this artist. Slight surface scratches when you allow a light to reflect off it....but when hung on the wall...it look perfect. In picture #6 there is an EVER so slight lightness to the print. You really have to look.....or you can't see it. Not worth mentioning. Hope you enjoy this piece.
