1867 Taylorsmith Co, Texas Letter
Very interesting 2 page hand-written letter, with dateline of Taylorsmith Co, Texas, April 12, 1867. Letter is written by one Thomas W. Zorn to his uncle and goes into detail about the land, wildlife and weather. Talks about friend, John, losing horse and hunting for him for 3 weeks, "hard freeze" killing gardens and all fruit, purchase of 80 acres for $300 gold, 25 acres cleared land, a double log house, etc. Nice research letter for local collector or historian.
