This next vintage wristwatch I have to offer on ebay is a sublime example from the Swiss watchmaker Cyma. Cyma have been making legendary timepieces since 1862 and are fast becoming highly collectable due to their relatively low cost against other ‘better known’ brands. Cyma is one of the world's most respected Swiss watch factories, located in the watch-making centre of LeLocle, Switzerland. Cyma's standards are as exacting as they have been for over 125 years. These watches have a legendary quality that is world-renowned. Cymas were always built to incredibly high standards. It is worth noting that Cyma, along with Jaeger Le Coultre, IWC and a very small number of other high-end manufacturers, were deemed to be worthy of producing watches specifically for use by Royal Air force pilots in World War II. To pass the exacting government standards of the day was quite an achievement and certainly, this fact in itself tells us an awful lot about Cyma’s quality and attention to detail.

The watch itself is housed in a circular, gold plate case which measures some 34 mm across excluding lugs and crown. The silvered dial is good order and has been finished with the gold batons at the cardinal hours and printed black ones elsewhere.
