Cambridge Azurite Comport with Unusual Deco Decoration.
- Source: eBay
This Auction is for a Very Unsual piece of Glassware that was produced by the Cambridge Glass Co. of Cambridge, Ohio. It is from their Special Articles Line of glassware, being listed in an early catalog as # 46, a 8 inch low footed comport. It measures 8 inches across the top and stands just about 5 inches tall. The Color is the Light Blue Opaque Color that Cambridge produced in the mid 1920's and Called AZURITE. The Unusual Aspect is the Decoration. It is a Gold, almost like a hal f sunburst, decoration outlined in black. It seems to be a fired on decoration, it is durable and doesn't come off when washed etc. I'm not sure if it was decorated by the Cambridge company or another decorating company but it is unusual and really attractive. It is in excellent condition with No Chips and No Cracks and No Scratching. The decoration is very sharp and 99% intact. A Nice and Unusual Piece of the Azurite glassware produced by Cambridge. Thank You for viewing this Auction and if you have any questions please email me. Regards, John.
