CANON 518 SUPER 8 Movie Camera Kit w/Case, Teleconverter, Hoya Filter Tested

Had this camera many years after getting it from the original owner, he did not leave any AA batteries in so all the connections are clean and those functions are working properly. The 2 - 625 button cell batteries were left in with only minor leakage which I cleaned and put in 2 new batteries and it works fine. The cover for the 625 batteries has a dial which is to be left in the L position as to avoid drain on the 2 batteries, they will only function when in the R position, I will leave the 2 625 batteries in but you'll need 4 AA batteries, instruction booklet is wavy but complete. This kit comes with a teleconverter but you should be able to see the outside large lens is cloudy, looks like it may be possible to get this open for cleaning, way beyond my skill level. Converter both caps with the large one being tin, also has camera eyecup, case is decent but the strap is brittle. I have tested all the battery operated functions of this camera and it works as it should as best as I can tell, everything from the meter, motor and zoom function. No film has been ran through this camera for many years. Check the photos carefully and determine condition for itself.
