Carousel Advertising Horse RARE C.W. Parker Carry-Us-All Leavenworth Kansas 1915

Postcard advertising the C.W. Parker Amusement Company "This style of horse will be used on the 1915 Park model Parker Jumping Horse Carry-Us-All, the World's greatest money maker". Parker promoted itself as the "Largest Manufacturer of Amusement Devices". Parker moved from Abilene to Leavenworth Kansas in the winter of 1910. Unused color printed, est. 1915. Condition is very good, slight bit of top layer of paper chipped on left edge and bottom left corner . This is a very RARE postcard, the only postcard promoting the 1915 horses I have ever seen, note there is a similar black and white photograph card (not postcard) that Parker also used for advertising the 1915 park horses which I will offer on ebay in a few weeks. In the book Pictorial History of the Carousel by Frederick Fried at pages 129-130, is an explanation of Parker's basic horse style and design that remained the same from 1895 through 1916. Fried was mainly discussing the horses on the popular portable carousels, described as being stackable for easy transport, hollow head and body to reduce weight, with body and head being thin and long, with interesting leg muscles. The manes rolled back in gentle "S" curves.
