Case XX 1972 8 Dot Muskrat with Red Bone Handles.

Up for auction is a beautiful 1972 Case XX Muskrat. This knife uses the same frame as the 47 pattern and is 3 7/8" long. This knife is in near mint condition. I am opening at $.99 with no reserve after that. The photos show the actual 8 dot knife you will receive.

Handles: The handles are beautiful deep red bone with high lights. T are no handle cracks or flaws. The handles match well in color. The handles have the semi-translucent bone you feel you can see down into.

Blades: The blades are chrome vanadium steel with a concave grind. The blades both pop when opening and closing. Also, t are some funny wavy lines below the tang and toward the back. You can see this on the close up picture of the tang. If you look at the picture of the entire front blade, you cannot see these imperfections. I cannot see the factory sharpening grind in the area below and behind the tang. However, the front of the master still retains the factory edge, and the full back of the master blade still has a factory edge. It is only this one section w most of the factory grind has been removed by buffing. The secondary blade is perfect and mint.
