History: Volques Tectosages (the people seeking a roof) is one of three main components of the Galatians that ravaged Greece and Asia Minor between 281 and 277 BC The legend says that Volques Tectosages who migrated Languedoc to have participated in the sacking of Delphi and are acquiring a treasure of the temple of Apollo at Delphi (the origin of the gold Tectosages "aurum Tolosanum") and have it transported to Tolosates ( Vieille-Toulouse), their capital. In fact, Volques Tectosages would have emigrated from Bohemia and in the third century AD.
They nevertheless participated in the expeditions that led Danubian Celts on the shores of the Aegean, the Bosphorus and the Black Sea.
