Lovely carved treen acorn screw top case containing a solid sterling silver Charles Horner thimble. The thimble has C.H. initials impressed and also a 6 (thimble size) however the hallmark is half impressed so harder to read. I believe his assay office was Chester, and trying to work out the bottom half of the date letter it could be between 1902, 1908,1910, 1916, 1917 and 1923, but it is definately Charles Horner and sterling silver. The acorn has a lovely tight screw fit and a wonderful tactile finish. The base has some slight roughness by the central bobble, but as a useable item, it is in excellent condition, as well as the thimble. Please do not pay until invoiced. Recorded first class (up to £46 value) or special delivery (up to £500 value) postage will be used, dependant on final sale amount, for UK buyers. Postage overseas will include International signed for, which costs £4.95 extra (up to value £46) or £7.45 extra (up to value £500). An additional £2.50 will be added to the postage price if the item sells for over £46. All items are trackable and will require a signature. I am happy to combine items where possible (size and weight dependant) and also am happy to post items for days that suit you - please mention when paying (more suitable for UK buyers). Postage charges include a small fee for packaging materials.
