Sorry. My pictures are a little dark. Offered is a superb "Claremont" Chelsea ship's bell clock with barometer and thermometer. These don't come around very often in working order such as this one. This clock runs quite accurately and strikes appropriately. Serial number 667720 dates it to 1960-1964. Considered the "pride of Chelsea" (per Tran's description in volume 2 of "American Clocks" on page 89), this clock is finished in a polished yellow brass. (The brass could use a polish.) It is equipped with and 8-day 11-jewel Chelsea lever movement that strikes the regulation ship's bells on the hour and half-hour, along with a holistic barometer and a thermometer. We have not tested the barometer for accuracy so we offer no guarantee t Dials are 3 3/4 inches in diameter. It is 14 1/2" wide and 8 1/2" tall. The original Chelsea key is included. Please ask questions prior to bidding. This clock is quite heavy, 15 pounds unpacked.
