You are bidding on a World War II Engine Room Clock with Serial #464656 (which dates the clock between 1940-1944) and it is in an o.d. bakelite case (olive drab green). Clock measures 6-1/2" in diameter ~ base is 7-1/2" in diameter x 2-1/2" deep with Chelsea Clock Co., Boston across the top and U.S. Maritime Commission, Serial No. across the bottom. We have had the clock cleaned, oiled and regulated and it is now in good working condition. Research shows that this particular clock is often referred to as an engine room clock and has no ship's bells because they could not be heard in the engine room. The only drawback is that someone has polished the face of the clock and in doing so has removed the black wax that was originally on the numbers. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions (or more pictures) and thanks for looking and thanks for bidding! Shipping weight is 4 lbs. 8 oz. from zip code 29565 ~ Shipping & handling may be calculated below. As always, we would be happy to combine shipping (when possible) on multiple auctions won ~ just e-mail us for a combined shipping quote. Thanks!!
