For auction today: tinted portrait from the 1920s in nice wooden frame, bubble glass, very good condition. Five pieces: ornate frame, portrait, two cardboard mats, and bubble glass.

Beautiful period frame, lovely carving, see photos for detail. A few very light scratches on the frame, one piece of wooden gingerbread has an age crack (visible in photo), but that's all. Very nice tiger-warbled finish on the wood. In amazing condition for the age, a great find.

On back of frame, two stamped messages reading: "This frame specially designed and selected. Price of frame $6.90 includes glass and back only. One price, cannot be altered or changed."

Dimensions of frame: 18" x 12".

Portrait is of "Grandma Delenie," written in pen on the back. Most portraits of the day were black and white; this one is tinted, Grandma has nice pink cheeks, lips, brown eyes, although she looks a little tired. :-) Portrait has a few scratches around the edge w the frame rested (see photos). Other than that, no water marks, folds or bends, only marks expected from a piece of this age.
