*** New First Listing!!! *** ___________________________________________________________________________________DESCRIPTION. ___________________________________________________________________________________ This is a really excellent, alive sounding Vintage Dreadnought-bodied Acoustic Guitar, the design clearly inspired by the famous D35 and D45 models, together with the Three Piece Back detail, used in many quality Japanese guitars of this period. Various websites confirm that Cimar was a Hoshino Gakki brand name, using models very similar to Hoshino Gakki's Ibanez range, in fact some Cimar models have a "Cimar by Ibanez" label, and apparently some Cimar models did appear in Ibanez catalogues in the 1970s. It has also been suggested that Cimar Guitars were made in the Fuji-Gen Factory, also with Ibanez models. Anyway, whatever the history, this is a superb looking guitar in it's own right, which plays and sounds excellent - the volume and tone are exceptional! It appears entirely original, except I had to replace the screw on end strap button. The original inside label remains intact showing this as a Model No. 369. I'm no expert on the different configurations of Martin Acoustics, but it is not a slavish copy of any particular model, however, you will see various similarities to certain iconic models, including the Abalone
