3 Gallon Ovoid Jar with Leaf Garland

Attributed to Beaver, Pennsylvania

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, America's Source for Antique Stoneware , is this g orgeous 3 Gallon Ovoid Jar.

The jar's form, decoration, and heft indicate it was made in the vicinity of Beaver, Pennsylvania.

Circa 1850, this beauty features Three Brushed Cobalt Freehand Leaves on Each Side forming a Garland, and a Tulip Beneath Each Handle Terminal. I have never seen that done before. Measures 12 3/4" tall.

Excellent Condition . Some wear around the inside and outside edge of the rim, and some spots of light staining from use. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Please view the full gallery of pictures as part of the description.
