Nice circa 1895-1900 era Anheuser Busch blob beer bottle, Baltimore Branch !

Up for offers now with NO reserves and a low starting bid, is another of several lots of antique, blob or pontiled, beer and soda bottles we are listing this week. This auction is for one bottle only. The other bottles shown in the group color and size comparison photos, are currently being posted in separate eBay auctions.

This auction is for the relatively short, 8 & 3/4" tall, dark amber lager beer bottle with large blob lip. It is heavily embossed on the front side in a custom mold " ANHEUSER - BUSCH BRW'G AS'N / TRADE (embossed eagle carrying a stars and stripes shield, flying through a large outlined letter "A", under a 5 pointed star) MARK / REGISTERED / BALTIMORE, MD. BRANCH / REGISTERED / THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD ". The rear base heel is embossed with the glass works manufacturers mark " NBBG CO. ". A nice mould varaint from the Baltimore Branch that is distinguished by the embossing being in a circular pattern, more commonly occuring with a crown cap finish rather than this traditional blob. This example is in fine condition having hardly any ground wear or staining, and no chips or cracks.
