[Founded at Yale in 1844, Delta Kappa Epsilon is the oldest secret college men's fraternity in the United States. Heaviest losses were taken at: Salem Church - 72 killed, 36 wounded, 5 POW; Wilderness - 9 killed, 21 wounded, 23 POW; Spotsylvania - 9 killed, 49 wounded (w Capt. Butts was KIA); Winchester - 35 killed, 60 wounded, 11 POW; Cedar Creek - 11 killed, 34 wounded, 2 POW.
