This guerrilla shirt is patterned off the shirt that Jesse James is wearing in one of his most famous pictures. I live about a mile from The Jesse James Farm and Museum. I have had the pleasure of talking at length with Jesse's great-granddaughter, Betty Barr. During this special tour of the farm, we viewed many pictures and were told many stories by Ms. Barr. I have tried to follow the basic pattern of the shirt as shown in the picture. I have tried hard to make sure all fabrics are period correct or reproduction fabrics. The neck is rounded as are the pockets, just like Jesse's shirt. The pockets are angled toward the center so that extra revolver cylinders could be kept in the pockets and easily retrieved while on horseback. This shirt is brown with black trim . It is 100% cotton The size is 51 inch chest and 52 inch around the stomach. The sleeves are 27 1/2 inches long The shirt shown underneath does not come with it, nor does any of the other items used in the photo. The shirt is handmade and is sewn on the machine.
