In general:G or "Good" is a complete comic with noticeable wear. VG or "Very Good" is a copy with some wear. Not too bad. Overall a decent copy. F or "Fine" is a nice solid copy. Usually appears at first glance to be very nice but upon closer inspection has a number of small defects. VF is a high grade comic with almost nothing wrong. Only something very minor allowed in this grade. NM and NM/M are no excuses, High grade, nearly perfect copies. there can be + and - to each of these grades and also lower grades of Pr (poor) and Fr (fair) which are quite worn and in some cases not complete.
