Closer Look Magazine Phoenix 1968 Jim Morrison Doors

Welcome fans and collectors of rare, vintage 60's music publications!

This is an opportunity to acquire the November 1, 1968 edition (Volume 1, Issue 9) of A Closer Look, "Phoenix' Own Teen Happening Newspaper". This scarce magazine was published in Phoenix, Arizona and covered all of the national bands that played in and around Phoenix.

This features RARE and EXCLUSIVE photos of some of the top artists of the 60's - photographs taken just for this magazine, and which have not appeared anyw else. As this was a local paper, issues are quite difficult to find and should be considered as treasures.

I am starting this with a LOW OPENING BID and NO RESERVE so true fans can have a chance of owning it.

This issue is comprised of 8 pages and includes:

Jim Morrison and The Doors - GREAT cover photo plus rear cover ad for the group's November 7 concert at the Coliseum (see scan )

The Standells - full page article with exclusive photo of the band, which included Larry Tamblyn, Ron Morgan, John Fleck, Bill Daffern and Tony Valentino

Phoenix Happenings - rare and exclusive photos of Blue Cheer (Shown reading an earlier issue of A Closer Look), The Standells (Ditto), and Iron Butterfly on stage.

Blue Cheer : A Closer Look - feature article and photo

Donovan - review of his October
