Cobalt Blue Cut to Clear Ice Bucket

This stunning cobalt cut to clear ice bucket is the Bohemian style, possibly Hungarian. The ice bucket stands 8 inches tall and is 6 7/8 inches diameter at the top opening. The base is cut with a radiating star. The scrolled handles are clear crystal. Please carefully note all 5 photographs for the extraordinary color, clarity, and quality of this piece. There are no chips, scratches, cracks, or any defects. There is very minor wear on the base.

Provenance: This ice bucket is from the estate of DorothyAlbright, opera singer and world traveler. Ms. Albright trained at the American Theatre Wing and studied voiceunder Gertrude Stern at the Julliard School of Music. She appeared as soprano soloist with the Connecticut Symphony “Pops” Orchestra and sang the role of Bess in “Porgy and Bess.” She performed as soloist in numerous oratorios, including Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio,” Handel’s “Messiah,” and Mozart’s “Coronation Mass.” She resided in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Due to the age of other items in Ms. Albright's estate, I am estimating this piece to be ca. 1990s. This is an estimate only and should not be relied upon as factual.
