New Coleman 285A Two Mantle Gas "Corn" Lantern Dated 04/06 April 2006 - Unfired

Offered for sale is a new and unfired Coleman double mantle lantern model 285A with a manufacture date of 04/06 (April, 2006). This lantern was made for just a couple months and used parts that were compatible with ethanol fuel. The lantern is called Select-E-Fuel and has been nicknamed the "Corn Lantern" by collectors due to its color and the fact it will burn ethanol derived from corn. Quoting the Terry Marsh Lantern Gallery, "Model 285A was manufactured by Coleman to run on Coleman fuel, unleaded gasoline, or E-10 gasohol (10% ethanol). The label to the right of the Coleman logos says Select E Fuel under an ear of corn."

This lantern is in beautiful condition and has never had fuel in it or been lit. The lantern was only wiped clean and has not been fueled or tested, but it appears in as new condition. Included is the original box, manual, and an unopened package of two Coleman mantles.

Vent is clean with no chips. Globe is the correct Made in Germany logo for this era and has no chips, cracks or burn marks. Paint is excellent with no rim rash. There are a couple minor nicks in the paint as shown.

Please view all photos to confirm the condition. They are part of the description.

A great addition to any collection needing a rare yellow 285A.
