Seven images of this book are shown below. It is: The Adventures of Maya the Bee, by Waldemar Bonsels, Published by Albert and Charles Boni. This is the 1929 edition of a book first-published in 1922. This book measures 9 1/2" x 7 1/4" and is 224 pages. It is in Very Good-Near Fine condition with some gentle wear to the binding and with a 1" untaped tear at the bottom of two preliminary leaves. The entire text block is in Fine condition. There are six, double-page, color illustrations in virtually-perfect condition by Vera Block (e.g., please see image #6 below). For each illustration, the back of one of the leaves is blank; the back of the other has the illustration's caption and a small decoration by Vera Block. She also has done a black-and-white decoration at the beginning and end of each of the 17 chapters (e.g., please see image #7 below). The price-clipped dust jacket is in protective mylar. It is fully-decorated in color by Bock and is in Very Good condition with some chips and fading. The first three images below are the front, back, and spine of the jacket. Images #4 and #5 are the front and spine of the book. Regarding the book, there is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, no foxing, and there are no loose pages.
