Medieval Era Gold Gilt Ring - Quartz Moonstone Cabachon Culture: Post Medieval European Date: Circa: AD late 18th Centruy The Georgian era is a period of British history which takes its name from, and is normally defined as spanning the reigns of, the first four Hanoverian kings of Great Britain (later the United Kingdom ): George I , George II , George III and George IV . The era covers the period from 1714 to 1830 Size and weight: UK Ring Size T, US Ring Size 9.75 and 7.6 grams Description: This is a stunning and very attractive gold gilt ring, set with a a pale white Rare Quartz Moonstone Cabachon. The stone is clasped by butress clasps which develop into the wide shoulders of the ring whijch are decorated with ridge and furrow designs . The ring has not been altered and is in very fine original condition with past collection cleaning to the outer gilt areas. The gilt has been tested for gold content. Very fine condition with associated wear which is to be both expected and appreciated. Provenance. Private English collection 2011.
