Fresh from an estate is this Reed and Barton silverplate mustard server with a cranberry opalescent glass insert. I honestly don't know if the insert is a toothpick holder or the original insert, but this is how it came to me and it does fit. The lid is inscribed with "Rector" in script. The silver frame stands 3 3/4" tall and is in very nice condition. I think it is silver over brass because t are some worn through areas around the base. Nevertheless it displays very well. The glass is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. It was a blown piece with the pontil mark on the bottom. is a great Victorian era piece that I am sure you will be proud to own. T is no reserve on this auction. Lucky bidder to prepay plus $4.70 towards Priority Postage. Thanks for viewing.
