*Up for sale here is a good looking squat soda bottle with some good color to it from Hartford, Wisconsin, located in both Dodge and Washington Counties. Unfortunately this late 1870's bottle has some issues, one being a clean flat glancing chip favoring the back side of the blob (see pictures), and a few base chips, which are minor on the edge of the base, even with the panels going down. There is also a very tiny flat chip on the top side of the blob. This bottle has no cracks or checks in the glass. I took many pictures, as they will tell the better story here. The bottle has some light inner patchy haze and very little wear on the outside. The glass is crude and it has the applied top. The embossing is both crude and bold as it reads open faced ~ "H. WEISSLEDGER / AND. Co / HARTFORD. WIS". The color is a rich blue aqua shade with a hint of light cornflower blue to it. On the lower right side heel facet it has the ~ "A&DHC" Pittsburgh Glass House makers initials. Bottle displays well from the front as seen in the pictures. It measures 6 7/8" tall and 2 3/8" across the six sided base. This old soda bottle was recovered many years ago by an old bottle hound by the last name of Renfro,
