These GIRAFFE BONE handle scales were cut on the same water grinding system I use for stone. This gives the bone I use a very nice polish of the bone itself, it is not waxed or coated with anything. The knife is a 3 blade 420 stainless steel Remington with stainless steeel liners and bolsters. it is a very solid knife. It is 3 1/2 inches closed and the main blade is 2 3/4 inces long. It is Redrummd 102.I am numbering all my works so if you are a collector you may want to print this out. I do not intend to engrave my works as that would add additional costs to each piece and my goal is to keep my work affordable so that you can actually use and carry my artwork......... I do photograph and keep a record of each piece just in case they do become worth something in later years as I am fairly young and should be doing this for decades to come. The bone is very solid as to get to a finished knife it must spend hours on saws, grinders and polishers in going from a chunk of bone to being a finished knife. In fact the knife is "put together" once the bone blank is near the finished size. If the bone handle (scales) does not come off in the final hours on the grinders and polishers it is a good bet they will never come off......... It takes about 8 hours of fine detail work to get from a chunk of bone to a finished knife. I have started
