Hello - It was around this time of year, 25 years ago, after a five year break from touring, David Bowie announced his plans for a huge world tour and the demand for tickets was astounding - He broke attendance records set by the Rolling Stones on their "81" Tour and in doing so had the most successful tour of his career up to that point. Hope you don't mind but I'd like to take a moment to relive my story from the Tour - Myself and my best friends set ourselves up in a nice hotel for the weekend of July 30 and 31, and had a FANTASTIC time - I will never forget arriving at the HUGE Joe Louis Arena on the riverfront in Detroit and as I'm standing t waiting for the doors to open, the sight of a silver Lincoln Towncar pulling (swiftly) through the gate, with Tony Mascia (David's Driver and Bodyguard) behind the wheel , and catching a glimse of David and his "girl friday" Coco Schwab sitting in the back seat - TOO COOL!! - then we notice his backup singers, the Simms Brothers, and a couple of the other guys from the band were playing with a frisbee nearby and spoke with them for a while - Then things got STUPID COOL - we were moved from some of the worst seats in the place - (our tickets for the 1st night were first row BEHIND THE STAGE - to 3rd row in FRONT OF THE STAGE!! - I figured it out over time, the reason we were moved was
