Up for bid is a Dietz "Advance" lantern. The lantern was only made for 3 years in the early 30's. It was made out of "coke tin" which didn't last very long. According to W.T.Kirkman it is rated with 3 star for rarity. One star being very common and 5 stars being very rare. This lantern is very solid with no dent or leaks. It comes with a clear globe which has no chips or crack. The lantern was made in New York. It is a version of the Dietz D-Lite. According to Kirkman they melted down C.T. Ham lanterns to make these lanterns. These lanterns were not painted. This lantern has a very nice brown patina to it. I am listing the postage at $17.00 because if the winning bidder is on the west coast and I send it priority mail because of the weight which is approx 4 lbs it will cost that much. I will refund what postage is not used. Please e-mail me with any questions
