RARE Dik Browne, Hagar the Horrible comic strip that measures 16 inches by 12 inches. This is original art and the seller thinks that it is dated from 1987 .On the back are the numbers 84.7 and it has some blueish ink markings and a few pencil markings as well. Please refer photos as a lot of white out has been used and thick black ink ,click on the photos so they can be enlarged.T is also a staple on the top left hand corner. This very rare item came from an estate sale and not much is known about it . The seller has a few other items which will be auctioned at a later date but t are not many left so don't let this one go as once sold these items will not come on the market for a long time..This is a no reserve auction so don't miss out on this one. DIK BROWNE (1917 - 1989) created his first comic, Ginny Jeep , during WWII, for the Army and Air Force newspapers. Also in 1954 he created the Hi and Lois strip with Mort Walker. Then, in 1973 he created the Hagar the Horrible comic strip. Dik Browne's sons, Chris and Chance, continue to produce the Hagar and Hi and Lois strips today.
