Robert Olszewski / Disney Mad Tea Party The Scupture: The Mad Tea Party was the first in the Commemorative Edition of the Robert Olszewski Main Street, USA collection to be released. The premiere date for this sculpture was July 16th 2005. It carries the commemorative edition markings with the special 50th Anniversay Logos. (After the celebration period ended, the special markings and logos were removed from future productions.) This piece is of exceptional detail, and captures so much in something so small. Look at the thatch roof, and the paper lanterns hanging over head, the tea cups themselves even have the wheel that makes the ride turn. The sculpture does not have animation, or sound, but does light up via battery or AC power (both included). The lights come on by pressing down on the little fire hydrant next to the tree left of the "Alice", and spotlight the three groups of teacups, as well, t are lights in the cottage windows. The amazing use of color on this piece is sure to grab the attention of anyone passing by. This is truly a work of art. The Attraction: The Mad Tea Party was a Disneyland original 1955 attraction.
