Domebook One

Domebook One by Lloyd Kahn: Published by Pacific Domes, Los Gatos, CA, 1970, Second Printing, 56 pages, softbound, approximately 10 3/4 inches by 14 1/2 inches.

Geodesic domes were the alternative shelter of choice for many back-to-the-landers in the 1970s. This book features a number of photos, drawings, charts and tables offering calculations of dome geometry, angles for cutting the various dome panels, methods of constructing dome frameworks, dome skinning options, attaching panels to the frame, windows, sealing domes against the elements, siting considerations, costs (circa 1970) and more, along with photos of domes, dome builders, construction details and more.

I'd call it good condition. I'm not a bibliophile, just an old hippie.

Included are the notes from my ex-husband on his calculations when we built one for the daycare center.
