EARLY SCHIAPARELLI Chunky Victorian Revival Bracelet Here's a bracelet that exudes the quiet sophistication of the Victorian era. An early Elsa Schiaparelli, this bracelet is very Victorian Revival, with its jet black enamel-and-gilt trim and a stunning floral centerpiece set with the Victorian's favorite gems: faux amethysts, pearls and diamanté. The bracelet is a hard-to-find Schiaparelli, dating to the 1930s and marked by her earliest known logo, "schiaparelli" in all lower case block letters. Like some of her enameled pieces from the era, this bracelet is formal and elegant, instead of flamboyant and whimsical like her later creations. Schiaparelli's early pieces were made in Europe and rare in the American market. They are highly-prized because they were made in collaboration with the best French designers at the time, notably Jean Schlumberger, or Schiaparelli's artist Surrealist friends, like Salvador Dali. The bracelet is 1 1/4" wide, all shiny black enamel with gilt trim. At the top of the bracelet is a flower made of faux amethyst crystals, a big one in the center, surrounded by purple and clear rhinestone petals. The flower is flanked by faux pearls. The florals sit on a starburst-like frame, also black enamel and gilt trim. Altogether, the design is 1 3/4" X 1 1/4" The centerpiece is riveted onto the base. The bracelet
